Kinex Fitness will be collecting donations to help victims of the recent Oklahoma tornado.
Hey there all you fabulous Kinex clients,
No doubt you have heard about the tragic tornado that blew threw Oklahoma. Well here is your chance to help. One of our clients is helping to load a semi trailer full of goods and deliver to the affected area in Oklahoma this weekend. You can drop any of the following items off at Kinex by Thursday to have added to the shipment.
Personal hygiene – razors, men and women’s shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, comb, brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, q-tips, toilet paper, shower gel, feminine hygiene products, bandaids, etc. For obvious reasons we would like all hygiene products to be new, in packaging where applicable.
Hand sanitizers, wipes, diapers, formula, laundry detergent, fabric softener, cleaning supplies like mr clean, paper towels.
Pet supplies such as dog/cat food (cans or bags). Wire crates, water/food dishes.
CLEAN clothes for the appropriate climate, shoes. Wash clothes and towels. NEW pillows, lightweight blankets.
Non-perishable foods. Canned foods, cereal, snack bars, etc. Bottled water. The organizer will match case for case anyone donating COUNTY MARKET water. Think of foods that can be easily prepared.
Gift cards are very important too – they can be used for buying new personal pieces of clothing, like socks, underwear.
How we are explaining it to people who ask is this – if you could imagine not having ANYTHING except the clothes on your back, what would be your IMMEDIATE needs. They do not have storage space for extra things they can’t use right now.
Gas money is appreciated also. It will cost several hundred dollars to take the load out there.
We are also considering making another trip in a few weeks with household furnishings for those that are moving either back into their homes or temporary housing.
No donation is too little! We appreciate everything we receive!
